    In 2015, Marina joined David Korevaar (chair) and Ran Dank to listen to some outstanding performances by the young pianists. Saetbyeol Serena Kim claimed the First Prize with her irresistible performance of Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1.

    Winners of the competition enjoy widespread recognition, publicity, a professional performance opportunity with the Dallas Chamber Symphony, and a recital at the Meadows School of the Arts. The DCS will also invite the winner to perform with the orchestra at Dallas City Performance Hall.

    Cleveland International Piano Competition (Young Artists)

    CIPC Young Artists is an international competition for pianists ages 12 through 18 presented by the Cleveland International Piano Competition.  Launched by the CIPC in 2003 as a one-day competition for Ohio piano students, the program has been reorganized in 2015 to follow the multi-round format of the CIPC. website

    National panelists John Stevens (woodwinds and brass), Efraim Amaya (composition and percussion), Jeff Ziegler (strings and harp) and Marina Lomazov (keyboard) get together to select a group of national finalists for the signature YoungArts event in Miami, FL from more than 600 applicants nationwide.  More than $80,000 in scholarship money in addition to national exposure and career opportunities are some of the benefits extended to the young musicians ages 15-18 through the National YoungArts Foundation.
