In April 2015 Lomazov received the Faculty Achievement Award from the Southeastern Conference (SEC). These awards recognize faculty from Southeastern Conference member universities with outstanding records in research and scholarship. There is one winner/nominee per campus and one overall winner for the Conference. All receive an honorarium and memento from the SEC which includes 14 flagship state universities and colleges from southern states.
