Summer 2020. As the rest of the world, we have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Amidst the fears, hopes, and anxiety for the future, we remain grateful for the music in our daily life, as it becomes in turns, the shelter, the inspiration, and the unyielding structure of our lives.
The summer of 2020 would have been the busiest for Joseph and I. Between us, we have been engaged at a dozen music festivals around the world, including the inaugural unveiling of our new project, the Vivace Matera Music Festival in beautiful Matera, Italy. Thanks to the vision and tireless energy of John Holloway, the executive director of Vivace, it transformed into Vivac-e Virtual Music Festival, to be conducted July 10-24, 2020. We are beyond grateful to an amazing group of faculty that gathered together to teach and play at the festival, and can’t wait to welcome the 50 plus piano students that have been selected up to participate in this exciting online event.
